Walnut Tree Close Student Accommodation for Guildford University
Walnut Tree Close provides existing student accommodation of 361 rooms for Guildford University. The approval from the local council for additional rooms came despite a number of local objections and therefore this was a politically sensitive project.
Scope of Works
The project was to build an additional 361 student rooms in four blocks of between five and six storeys including full mechanical and electrical installation of services including CHP units, PV installation, small power and lighting and centralised boiler plants and water system.
Contract Management and Resource
The project was overseen by Peter Bales supported by two experienced site-based project managers, Dave Fox , looking after the electrical installation and Chris Chapman, responsible for the mechanical installation.
Subcontractors and Supply Chain
The specialist systems on the project were undertaken by our known and trusted supply chain who we have utilised on previous projects of this nature.
